Are You Willing To Follow One Sure Way To Get A Perfect Hairstyle
I really don't know how hairdressers do it; people always coming in and asking for new hairstyles, or a 'popular hairstyle,' I would have no clue as to where to start if I were them.
He has a lot of hairstyle magazines in the waiting area, so many times he grabs one of them and starts to show me samples of what he thinks I might like.
As I sat there waiting for him to find something, I realized what a rough job he had. In fact, we were talking one day as he was trying to figure out what kind of short trendy hairstyle he could make out of my current medium hairstyle when he confessed that he did much better when people brought in pictures of hairstyles they liked.
He told me that one day a man came in and asked for a dangerous-looking hairstyle
One thing I like about my hairdresser is that he is always going to conventions to keep up-to-date on the latest trendy hairstyles (both men's hairstyles and womens hairstyles). However, he had no idea what a dangerous hairstyle might look like. And, because he had no idea, he just gave the guy a popular men's hairstyle. He wasn't sure if the guy was satisfied or not; and he definitely knew he wasn't satisfied with the cut he gave him, not knowing if that's what he wanted - or not.
In my opinion, if a guy is going to pay $25 for a hairstyle (womens hairstyles are more like $45 or $50) he/she should at least get something different than he always gets - especially if he tells the hairdresser what he wants.
But there's the key - and the problem. He asked the hairdresser for something different, but since he did not have pictures of hairstyles that he considered dangerous looking, he got the same ole thing. In this case, both parties lost. The hairdresser was not happy because he didn't have a clue what kind of men's hairstyle this guy wanted, and the customer was not happy because he just paid a good price for the same ole thing.
Is there a solution to this problem. Sure! Whenever possible, always bring your hairdresser pictures of what you have in mind. I even take pictures of people on the television and bring them in. He wants a picture so bad he'll even watch a video tape of a person with my vision of a short trendy hairstyle just to get an idea of what I have in mind.
All he needs is some kind of clue as to what you might be looking for in a new hairstyle. Long? Short? Medium length? Oh, and he really has a different idea of how short a short haircut should be - I'll never make that mistake again!
You may not know this, but there is new technology availabl that lets you try on virtual hairstyles and see what you will look like before you go in for your new trendy hairstyle. I do this all the time, and it has saved me time (growing back hair), and money when I get what I want the first time.
