What's the Difference between Emu Oil, Rose Hip Oil and Olive Oil?

by Valerie DeVette

Everyone these days seems to be making claims about their preferred oil-based beauty product - whether it's Olive Oil, Emu Oil or Rose Hip Extracts, people are crazy about the anti-wrinkle effects that these natural ingredients provide. Age spots, wrinkles and dry skin are typical issues that come with age - fortunately they can be improved with the use of oil-based skin care treatments. Two important questions still remain - What is the main difference between Rose Hip Oil, Emu Oil and Olive Oil and which will work best for me?

You may have noticed that Olive Oil has recently been marketed as an effective lip balm, night cream, bath oil and skin care lotion. Its high vitamin E content makes it a great natural moisturizer and overall skin care product. Minor skin wounds, fine lines, wrinkles, psoriasis and eczema can all be treated using an Olive Oil beauty product.

Emu Oil is another oil-based treatment that has actually been used as a natural skin care treatment and pain reliever for bone, muscle and joint disorders by the Australian Aborigines for thousands of years.

This substance's healing abilities include: pain reliever, reduces swelling and itching, minimizes burns and wounds. Now a days, Emu Oil is bought and sold as a fine lines and anti wrinkle product that richly hydrates your skin.

The Difference between Rose Hip Oil and Other Oils

Just as with Emu Oil, Rose Hip Oil has been recognized as a natural skin care product by Indigenous civilizations for over a thousand years, in this case by the Incas and other native peoples of America. Rose Hip Oil, however, comes from the seed of a wild rose plant that grows in the rainier parts of deep South America. Differentiating itself from Emu Oil, Rose Hip Oil does not contain any animal fat and is therefore 100% vegetarian.

An organic and sensitive-skin tested natural skin treatment, Rose Hip Oil's healing properties include: healing burns, scars caused by burns and acne, reducing wrinkles and repairing dry skin. In addition to treating small scars caused by acne, it has been particularly effective in treating scars that have been hanging around for years.

The healing potential contain in these small flower bulbs has exceeded the expectancy of users all over the global. Drier, aging skin will especially benefit from the anti wrinkles properties contained in this natural skin care product.

These oils all have similar properties, like fatty essential oil content, and each of them offers protection from harmful free radicals. Rose Hip Oil, however, stands out as the most effective natural moisturizer of them all, due to the unique healing qualities of the rose hip seed oil.
